Slide Care Instructions:

  1. Thoroughly rinse out the McMaster chambers with warm running water.

  2. Let slide air dry.

If the chamber becomes dirty soak for only a few minutes in warm water containing dish soap; do not soak in soap for long periods, as this will cause the chamber to become cloudy.

Our McMaster counting slides were designed to be used again and again. We use sonic welding to fuse the upper and lower sections together, thereby eliminating the possibility of residue of a previous fecal specimen being trapped between the two layers. Our counting slides can be re-used with confidence, requiring only a simple cleaning procedure.

* Drying the slide with a towel will ruin the optical finish. We recommend air drying the slides.
